Our water system personnel are dedicated to providing the community with safe, clean, healthy, fresh water for drinking and other purposes, 24 hours a day, for a reasonable cost.
Four of the five Dare County water plants are reverse osmosis facilities: Kill Devil Hills, Stumpy Point, Rodanthe and Frisco. The fifth is a fresh water softening plant on Roanoke Island. The five plants provide drinking water for all of the public water supplies from Sanderling to Hatteras Village, Roanoke Island and Stumpy Point.
