Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 8:00 a.m.

 

Virtual participants may complete the race at any time or location through October 26, 2024.

 

Location:

Virginia S. Tillett Community Center (VTCC), 950 Marshall C. Collins Drive, Manteo, NC 27948 -OR- Virtual (any location)

 

Course:

3.1 miles beginning in the Coastal Studies Institute (CSI)parking lot in Skyco, NC, continuing through trails and local residential roads and ending at the VTCC in Manteo, NC.

 

No strollers, dogs or bicycles on course please. Traffic control. Water station.

 

Schedule:

7:00-7:45 a.m. Check-in (CSI), race day packet pick up (VTCC - we recommend picking up your packet post race) and late 5K registration (CSI) at CSI.

 

6:50-7:45 a.m. Shuttle from the VTCC (parking & finish line) to Coastal Studies Institute (start line), no return trips to CSI after finish. It is recommended that participants park at the VTCC.

 

8:00 a.m. 5K Race begins

 

9:00 a.m. Sweet Treat Fun Run begins

 
Entry Fees:
  • $40.00 if received by September 16, 2024.
  • $45.00 from September 16-24, 2024.
  • $50.00 if registering during packet pick up or on race day, October 25 & 26, 2024.
  • $15.00 for Virtual 5K without shirt / $40.00 for Virtual 5K with shirt.
  • $15.00 for Fun Run without shirt / $40.00 for Fun Run with shirt.

 

Shirt availability is not guaranteed unless pre-registered by September 16, 2024. Shirts will be limited for registrations received after September 16, 2024. Shirts may not be available for Race Day registrations. Please pre-register to guarantee a shirt and/or medal. Shirts are long sleeve.

 

YOU MUST PARTICIPATE IN THE RACE YOU SIGN UP FOR.

 
Awards:
  1. Awards to top three male & female 5K finishers.
  2. Best costume awarded for both 5K & Sweet Treat Fun Run.

 

Costumes will be judged as best overall, top 5 for the 5K and top five for the Fun Run. Please stay after each race to be eligible for judging. Prizes will be awarded to the above categories via donations of gift cards and/or cash.

 
Swag:
  • 5K (in-person): Medal, custom socks, shirt, and goody bag
  • 5K (virtual): Medal (see shirt option on registration)
  • Sweet Treat Fun Run: Medal (see shirt option on registration)
Packet Pickup: Friday, October 25, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
at the VTCC in Manteo.
Toy Donations:

This year we will be collecting toys for our toy drive at packet pickup and on race day. If you would like to donate, please bring a new and unwrapped toy for a child ranging from years 0-16. We will also accept monetary donations via cash or check if you would like to contribute beyond the proceeds collected from your race registration.

 

 

 
Pre-Race Festivities: Prior to the 5K at the CSI start line, all runners will have the chance to enjoy great views at Coastal Studies Institute, fun photo opportunities, games, music and more!
Virtual Certificate: If you have completed the virtual 5K, be sure to claim your certificate of completion HERE! (link will be activated after the race date)
