Purpose: The Board will meet with Col. Ron Sturgeon, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District Commander and his team to discuss the process, the limitations, and the way forward for the Formerly Used Defense Site (FUDS) at the former Naval Facility on Buxton Beach, and to conduct any other business that comes before the Board. The Board will also meet in a Closed Session pursuant to: NCGS 143-318.11 (a)(3) to consult with the attorney in order to preserve the attorney-client privilege, receive an update on the opioid litigation, and to approve the minutes of the last Closed Session.
