The Dare County Parks and Recreation Department is committed to providing quality parks and recreation facilities, programs and leisure opportunities for the people of Dare County. We offer a variety of affordable programs and activities for individuals and families. Parks and Recreation programming is separated into three divisions to accommodate the county's unique geography: the Roanoke Island/Mainland Division, Northern Beach Division and Hatteras Island Division.

Do you know who would get to make medical decisions for you if you haven’t completed a Healthcare Power of Attorney Advance Directive? Join us for one (or all) of these free sessions and learn the who, what, when, where, how and, most importantly, the why of advance care planning. For more information, please call 252-475-0905. If you only need assistance with a witness/notary, please arrive 10 minutes before the close of the session so that this can be secured.

This free class will help to answer many of your questions regarding your Advance Directive Planning.  If you only need assistance with a witness/notary for your directive, please arrive 10 minutes before the close of the session. This class includes free notary support.
