New Year, New You - Fitness

Let's hear from some experts on sustainable, healthy ways to win at self-improvement.  We'll hear from experts on nutrition, philanthropy and fitness in this 3-part speaker series available in person at the Kill Devil Hills Library meeting room and virtual via Zoom.

Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. 

Nutrition:  Barbara Shultz, RN, BSN, CCMS, will discuss simple nutritional substitutions that can make a big difference!   

                            She'll share tips and recipes also!

 

Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Philanthropy:  The benefits of giving back!  Representatives from local non-profits will present simple ways we can help the Dare County community. 

Non-Profits:  Beach Food Pantry, Children and Youth Partnership for Dare County, Coastal Human Society, Outer Banks Dementia Friendly Coalition, Outer Banks SPCA, Sea Change OBX, and Surfrider Foundation will share information.

 

Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Fitness:  It's cold outside and the couch is so comfy.  It's a challenge to exercise in the winter! 

Jackie Pikulski Frappier from the Virginia S. Tillett Center and Aubree Remige from the Thomas A. Baum Senior Center will present simple ways to incorporate movement into our everyday lives and share all the wonderful activities offered at these centers.
