COASTAL GARDENING FESTIVAL
May 20 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Baum Senior Center
The Dare Master Gardener Volunteer Association will host its 19th
Annual Coastal Gardening Festival on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 9
a.m. to 2 p.m. This huge plant sale will include trees, shrubs,
perennials, annuals, vegetables and houseplants. Over 40 vendors
will offer garden art, pottery, refreshments and a wide variety of
handcrafted items. There will also be an “Ask A Master Gardener”
booth available where staff will answer your gardening questions as
well as provide information about the plants you may purchase.
The Dare County Extension Master Gardeners’ educational booth will
highlight the “Power of Succulents” by featuring information and
resources related to caring for and maintaining succulents.
Attendees are also invited to take a self-guided walking tour of the
arboretum! The festival will be held rain or shine, and admission is
free. Proceeds will benefit the arboretum and the education and
outreach programs of the Dare County Extension Master Gardener
Volunteers, in association with North Carolina Cooperative Extension
