Paint will be provided, but please bring an 8x10 canvas (and brushes if you have them). Everyone is welcome, regardless of your experience level. There is no charge for this class, but please bring an 8x10 canvas to paint. For more information, please call Jodie Futch at 252-475-5638.
Brannon grew up as a military kid and experienced a wide spectrum of arts, from the early
sculptures and mosaics of ancient Greece and biblical lands to European museums and
American folklore and regional art.
Brannon’s early career was working as a therapist, teacher and student counselor at a
university, with a keen eye to the arts. Inspired by abstract expressionists like Rothko,
Pollock and Guston, he applies representational concepts in creating paintings, tapping
into the emotional and psyche responses of the viewer. Brannon is co-founder of the Post
Millennium New York School, with artists from 14 countries and a specific interest in
abstract expressionism.
