In honor of the 12^th Annual Take Your Child to the Library Day, Dare County Library is holding celebratory ‘Explore Your Local Library’ events at all three locations on Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. This free event, open to all families in Dare County, encourages parents and children to visit their local library to learn about materials, resources, and programs available to the Outer Banks community. Visiting ‘Explorers’ will have the chance to discover what the library has to offer through free Storytime events, Fossil Digs, Scavenger hunts, and a take-home reading challenge. Additionally, attendees will have the chance to win prizes – not to mention sign up for library cards for the whole family!
