The Dare County Board of Commissioners conducts regularly scheduled meetings throughout the year. Meetings are generally held on the first Monday of the month at 9:00 AM and the third Monday of each month at 5:00 PM. Occasionally this schedule is adjusted to accommodate holidays and there are a few months each year when only one meeting is held. 

Meetings are held in the Board of Commissioners meeting room adjacent to the Dare County Administration Building, 954 Marshall C. Collins Drive in Manteo. Entrance to the Commissioners meeting room and ample free parking is available between the Administration Building and the Dare County Justice Center.

Dare County Board of Commissioners Chairman Robert L. “Bob” Woodard Sr. will deliver the annual State of the County presentation on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.

The theme for the presentation is “Caring for Our Community—A Nurturing Place Where All Can Live and Grow.”

Location: Captain George’s Seafood Restaurant in Kill Devil Hills
Advanced registration is required to attend.

Check-in: Begins at 8 a.m.
Breakfast Buffet: 
8:15 a.m.
Presentation: 
9 a.m.

Registration fee: $10.68 (includes a full breakfast)
