Pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. 131E-13(d)(7), the Dare County Board of Commissioners (the “Board”) is providing notice of its regular meeting at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 21, 2021, in the Dare County Administration Building located at 954 Marshall C. Collins Drive in Manteo. In addition to other agenda items, the Board will consider a resolution to approve the terms of the Asset Purchase Agreement by and between Dare County and Adoration Home Health Care Virginia, LLC, an affiliate of Res-Care, Inc., d/b/a BrightSpring Health Services (“BrightSpring”). If approved, the Asset Purchase Agreement will effectively sell substantially all of the assets utilized in the operation of Dare County’s home health and hospice agency, Dare Home Health & Dare Hospice, to BrightSpring.
As of Friday, June 11, 2021, the Asset Purchase Agreement will be made available for public inspection on weekdays, during normal business hours, in the County Manager’s Office located at 954 Marshall C. Collins Drive in Manteo, NC 27954.
The Board of Commissioners encourages citizen participation and provides time on the agenda at every regularly scheduled meeting for Public Comments. This is an opportunity for anyone to speak directly to the entire Board of Commissioners for up to five minutes on any topic or item of concern. Comments can be made at the Commissioners Meeting Room in Manteo (Administration Bldg., 954 Marshall Collins Drive, Manteo) or through an interactive video link at the Fessenden Center Annex (47013 Buxton Back Road, Buxton).
