There will be a pre-bid meeting held on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. in Room 168 of the Dare County Administration Building located at 954 Marshall C. Collins Drive, Manteo, NC 27954. It is highly encouraged that those interested in bidding on the project attend this meeting as the bid requirements and procedures will be reviewed in detail.

The animal shelter and adoption facility for Dare County will be located at 364 Airport Road in Manteo. It will be a one-story, masonry and steel, brick veneered and metal panel siding, steel-framed building. The building is approximately 8,727 square feet with a proposed elevated floor finish elevation of 13.50 feet and will feature a TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) roof, exposed and acoustic ceilings, drywall CFMF (Cold-Formed Metal Framing), and exterior storefront and windows. The anticipated construction start time is March 2020 with an overall duration of 10 months.
