One-stop absentee voting (commonly known as "early voting") allows any registered voter to cast an absentee ballot in person on select days prior to Election Day. Unlike on Election Day, when registered voters can only vote at their specific precinct, one-stop voting allows registered voters to vote at any one-stop absentee voting site in the county. One-stop sites will have all the ballot styles for a given election at each site. When you present to vote at a one-stop site, you may change your name or address, if it needs to be updated.
Curbside voting is offered at all Dare County polling places. To be eligible for curbside voting, you must be unable to enter the polling place due to age or physical disability. Look for the call bells near the polling place entrance labeled "Curbside Voting." Poll workers will walk to your car when you park in one of the designated spaces to attend to your voting needs.
For the September 10 Congressional General Election, one-stop absentee (early) voting will be available at the following locations:

- Dare County Administration Building located at 954 Marshall C. Collins Drive, Manteo, NC 27954
- Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., beginning Wednesday, August 21 through Friday, September 6
- Kill Devil Hills Town Hall located at 102 Town Hall Drive, Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948
- Monday - Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., beginning Monday, August 26 through Friday, September 6
- Fessenden Center Annex on Hatteras Island located at 47017 Buxton Back Road, Buxton, NC 27920
- Monday - Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., beginning Monday, August 26 through Friday, September 6
