On Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 8:30 a.m., the public is invited to join Dare County EMS, Kill Devil Hills Fire Department and other local first responders in a march to the Wright Brothers Monument in honor of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

Participants should meet at Dare County EMS Station 1 (1628 N. Croatan Highway, Kill Devil Hills, NC) to march to the Wright Brothers Monument and back beginning at 8:46 a.m.

There is no cost or registration to participate in this walk. This annual walk is coordinated by volunteers to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on the morning of September 11, 2001.
