THE ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION’S WALK WITH EASE PROGRAM all new
Instructor: Hayley Weeks-Hopkins
September 24, 2024 to November 1, 2024 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays (3 times per week for 6 weeks)

A structured walking program developed by The Arthritis Foundation and designed to help individuals to improve their mobility and reduce pain.

Focuses on three key components: walking, stretching and strengthening exercises.

Participants receive guidance on proper techniques, as well as progression of walking time and intensity.

Participants must commit to attending the full 6-week program.

Target audience: Adults with arthritis who want to increase their physical activity, but this program is also appropriate for people without arthritis, particularly those with diabetes, heart disease and other chronic conditions.

IMPORTANT PREREQUISITE: The ability to be on your feet for at least 10 minutes without increased pain.

Includes stretching and strengthening exercises, as well as walking outside near the Baum Senior Center.
