A Blind License Application may be issued by The Dare County Game And Wildlife Commission subject to Rules and Regulations adopted by the Dare County Game and Wildlife Commission. For more information contact the Game & Wildlife Commission Administrator.

2024/2025 Duck Blind License Application (Currently Closed)


The Dare County Game and Wildlife Commission is responsible for licensing all permanent and float blinds in Dare County. The members of the Commission have the power and authority to prescribe rules and regulations to issue the blind licenses.

Renewals: $20

On an annual basis, you are required to call 252.475.5633 when your blind has been built and is ready for inspection by members of the Game & Wildlife Commission. Failure to do so will result in revocation of your blind. 

If there is availability, new applications will be accepted from August 7 through November 1. Applications must be delivered or postmarked by November 1. They will be reviewed by the Game & Wildlife Commission at the next scheduled meeting. 

The Game & Wildlife Commission is an eleven member board that conducts public meetings from July though December of each year. Meetings are held in the Dare County Administration Building, 954 Marshall C. Collins Drive, Manteo, NC.

The August 21, 2024 Game & Wildlife Commission meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Dare County Administration Building, in room #168.
