The Dare County Parks and Recreation Department is committed to providing quality parks and recreation facilities, programs and leisure opportunities for the people of Dare County. We offer a variety of affordable programs and activities for individuals and families. Parks and Recreation programming is separated into three divisions to accommodate the county's unique geography: the Roanoke Island/Mainland Division, Northern Beach Division and Hatteras Island Division.

SAND & SEA QUILTERS and More

Fridays from 9am to 12pm

You are cordially invited to be part of our Friday morning quilting group.  Beginners are more than welcome and we would love to introduce you to this fun and relaxing art form. We can help you learn how to do any type of quilting, help you with a project, teach you how to hand stitch, crochet, knit, or even use a sewing machine.  Atmosphere is welcoming, relaxed, and positive!
