The Dare County Parks and Recreation Department is committed to providing quality parks and recreation facilities, programs and leisure opportunities for the people of Dare County. We offer a variety of affordable programs and activities for individuals and families. Parks and Recreation programming is separated into three divisions to accommodate the county's unique geography: the Roanoke Island/Mainland Division, Northern Beach Division and Hatteras Island Division.

Needles and Pins Stitching Club

If you enjoy SEWcializing then our group is for you! We work on our individual projects with other stitching enthusiast to pass on tips, show what we are doing, and learn new techniques at the same time.  It's a great way to spend the afternoon.  If you do needlepoint, cross stitch, knit, crochet, embroidery, sewing,  etc. then please join our group of sewing friends and be inspired.  Please contact Tara Johnson at 252-715-1338 for more information.  Registration is not required.
